A Note on Accessibility
The shifting of the ReelAbilities Film Festival Boston to online platforms, however challenging, has been an important move for us. Due to the extremely fast changes involved and technological limitations, we are not always able to provide the level of accessibility and support to our viewers that we aspire to. We are grateful to our hard working teams for pulling things together to make the films and live-streamed talkbacks available and as accessible as possible.
We are proud to say that all of our films are captioned. The majority come with Open Captions, several have Closed Captions, and a couple of foreign shorts have English Subtitles.
All live-streamed Q&As include live captioning.
For those who have been inquiring about Audio Description, we have been hard at work uploading whatever versions of audio-described films have been made available to us at this time. Several of the 2020 screenings will offer versions of films with Audio Description. We will include in emails to registered viewers any additional links to film showcases with AD accessibility.
If you have questions about accessibility or troubleshooting your viewing experience in general, please contact info@bostonjfilm.org
Stay well and thank you for being part of the ONLINE ReelAbilities Boston Film Festival.
